The ski jacket's detachable hood is mounted on a unique snap button band. When pulled at, the hood releases from the outerwear to reduce the risk of accidents where the kids are stuck on something with the hood. The jacket is designed with a safety breakaway buckle for attaching mittens or gloves to the sleeves in size 98-140. If the mitten is pulled at, it releases from the jacket sleeve, reducing the risk of accidents.
