The children's winter jacket is designed with a soft chin guard at the top of the YKK main zipper to protect the delicate skin under the chin. The ski jacket is designed with a safety breakaway buckle for attaching LEGO mittens or gloves to the sleeves in sizes 98-140. If the mitten is pulled at, it releases from the jacket sleeve, reducing the risk of accidents. The detachable hood is mounted on a unique snap button band for safety reasons. When pulled at, the hood releases from the outerwear to reduce the risk of accidents where the kids are stuck on something with the hood. The elastic at the hood opening and reflective thread in the zipper puller at front pockets add to the jacket's functional design.
